Craft project: I want to make an "organizer" for a little girl?
Q. Ok I am trying to find a pattern online (free preferably) so I can make a little organizer. You know, a fabric-covered book-like thing with a notepad & pencils & whatnot. Perhaps three-fold, something that shuts on itself & can be carried neatly, for an artistic little girl. Problem is I have no idea what it's called, an "organizer" seems pretty vague. What would this be called? [and for "bonus points", can you help me find directions how to make one?] Thanks so much!!

Has Obama ever had a job other than "community organizer"?
Q. I was reading some right-wing blogs and listened to Glenn Beck's radio show, and realized that Obama has never had a job before. Except "community organizer." I wasn't sure what a community organizer was, but I know it has to do with spreading socialism in the community, hating America, hating Whitey, and paling around with terrorists. What job has Obama ever done? Name one. You can't.

What is the job description for a "community organizer"?
Q. Apparently that was what B H O did prior to his highly productive stint in the US Senate. What does a community organizer do? Who does one report to? Do they need to produce and follow a budget, set and maintain work priorities, hire and administrate a staff, or any other myriad duties that a corporate, military, or government leader might perform? I'm just curious.

A. A community organizer brings law suits on to banks to make them lend to people who can't afford it. Years later this amounts to a world wide financial meltdown. Then you blame it on George Bush.

How much does Obama's old job of "Community Organizer" cost to buy?
Q. With Jesse Jackson Jr. bidding Obama's old Senate job up to $1 million plus, its pretty obvious that the Senate is out of my price range. Ditto for the House seats left vacant by Rahm Emmanuel and eventually that of Junior Jackson himself. Maybe Obama's old job as community organizer is something I could afford, any ideas on what the ante is on those gigs?

A. The same reason they throw out all the other words they don't know the meanings of. Somebody in their "group" made it sound like a "bad thing" so they are using it as an epithet. You know, "marxist/commie/socialist/kenyan" etc. I will say this, though. This behavior where they are attacking President Obama for having been a community organizer is straight out of the pages of a George Orwell novel - this is "newspeak" to the max. Where good is bad, up is down, black is white. No rational person could EVER attempt to paint being a community organizer as a "bad thing".

A. When you do retail politics, it helps to have had that sort of interpersonal experience. It is a first rung on the ladder into higher office politics. As far as what one does, the National Review did a story on his time at it, and didn't turn up much of anything. Basically address needs in the community and tries to influence the government by petitions, marches, protests and acting as a clearing house for information and donated resources. Jesse Jackson did it and if you want a real education, read "Shakedown" by Bruce Timmerman.
